Yanis Bardes — AI Researcher
I am a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence at Université Paris-Saclay (Lincoln lab), working on real-time waste detection by drone using federated learning and multi-objective optimization. I am also enrolled in the MVA Master at ENS Paris-Saclay.
Alongside my research, I teach at École Centrale d’Electronique (Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and MLOps).
Research Interests
- Federated Learning
- Computer Vision / Object Detection (YOLO, UAV)
- Large Language Models (LLMs) & RAG
- Multi-objective Optimization
- MLOps & Deployment
Background
Before my PhD, I worked as a Deep Learning Engineer at Lincoln (Boulogne-Billancourt), where I built a patented Multi-Modal Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system, and as a Data Scientist at AtlasAI, where I contributed to training an LLM for the Moroccan dialect.
I hold a Double Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science (MIDS) from Université Paris Cité, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (with honors) from Université Paris Est Créteil.
